STATE-OF-THE-ART EQUIPMENT
Tanning beds or sunbeds are devices that emit ultraviolet radiation (normally 95% UVA and 5% UVB, +/- 3%). Typically, tanning beds use several fluorescent lamps that have phosphor blends, designed to emit UV in a spectrum that is somewhat similar to the sun. These beds are rated Levels 1–6, with each level representing a different type and strength of the bulbs used, the placement and effectiveness of reflective materials, as well as the focus of the light, and overall comfort. The length of time at each level varies to obtain a safe and effective result, based on your needs.
